Bystanders are the Immediate Responders

Be the help Until Help Arrives

Active Bystanders Save Lives

We are passionate about helping to empower active bystanders so that they can save lives, whether they come across someone injured in a car crash, or are involved in an active shooter/active violence incident.

Research has found that those most likely to survive a disaster are the people who are most mentally prepared.

We provide Stop the Bleed training using programs developed by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (Until Help Arrives) and the American College of Surgeons (BCON).

TRAUMA IS THE #1 CAUSE OF DEATH AMONG AMERICANS AGE 1-46.

BLEEDING IS THE #1 CAUSE OF PREVENTABLE DEATH FROM TRAUMA.

FIRST RESPONDERS WILL TAKE TIME TO ARRIVE.

GOAL: ZERO PREVENTABLE DEATHS AFTER INJURY.

Synagogue Safety & Security

Examining the role of active bystanders in attacks on religious facilities in the aftermath of the attack on the Tree of Life synagogue, “Safety and Security in American Communities — The Pittsburgh Massacre” was co-written by Steve Birnbaum and IDF Col (res.) Professor Isaak Ashkenazi, MD, a leading global expert on active shooter and crisis response.

We provide discounts on training and equipment to synagogues and other eligible organizations. As an IDF veteran-led organization, we will not turn away any synagogue - we will provide training for free if needed.

Knowing what to do as an active bystander is just as important in our daily lives, from events such as car crashes or workplace accidents, as they are in the event of an active violence or terrorist attack.

About the Training

There are many programs that teach tactical and trauma medical response. While some target the military, law enforcement, or fire/rescue community (“first responders”), Stop the Bleed programs are focused on empowering civilians…the “immediate responders” who are already present when an event occurs.

Research has found that due to protective equipment and demographics, the injuries found within the military community are not always the same as those within the civilian population after an act of violence.

This is not just a class on how to apply tourniquets. Participants will learn and practice several hands-on skills, as well as information to understand the body’s natural physiological response in a disaster or high threat situation.

The Until Help Arrives program teaches participants what to expect in an act of violence, so that they can be mentally and physically prepared to act to save their own lives or the lives of their friends and family.

Open To Anyone

The training requires no prior medical experience, and is applicable to all age groups from mature pre-teens to retirees.

It is suitable for employees in a workplace, members of religious congregations, and private groups or clubs.
